Four weeks out
Confirm your move date against both tenancy contracts, then book a survey with your movers and packers. Month-end slots go first.
Tell your current landlord or agent in writing and ask what the property must look like at handover.
Two weeks out
Request move-out and move-in permits from both building or community managements, and reserve service lifts.
Arrange utilities, internet and tenancy registration for the new address so the home is live when you arrive.
The final week
Run down the freezer, set aside passports, documents and valuables to travel with you, and label rooms in the new home.
Confirm crew arrival time, parking and access for the truck at both ends.
Moving day
Walk the team leader through the home, point out fragile and high-value items, and check the inventory before the truck leaves.
At the new home, direct furniture placement first; cartons can follow.
