Volume, not bedrooms
Two three-bedroom homes can differ hugely in volume. A survey measures what you own, which is why a surveyed quote is more reliable than one based on room count.
Access at both ends
Long carries, small lifts, stairs and restricted loading bays all add crew time. Tell your mover about them at the start.
Packing level and timing
Full packing costs more than furniture-only, and saves days of your time. Weekends and month-ends are the busiest dates; mid-week, mid-month moves are easier to schedule.
Comparing quotes fairly
Check each quote lists the same things: crew size, materials, dismantling, handyman work, cover and debris removal. The cheapest number often leaves something out.
